Hi, I’m Alexandra, a London born illustrator and comics artist now based in Tokyo, Japan. I’m represented by Illustration X.
Alongside my illustration practice, I currently work as Creative Director for a Japanese material innovation and textiles company.
I moved to Tokyo at the beginning of 2026, which in many ways, was a childhood dream come true. Living here has brought me closer to many of the things that have long inspired my work, from folklore and traditional crafts to the small, beautiful details of everyday life.
My work blends atmospheric illustration with a paired back style, narrative world building, drawing on nostalgia and a love of stories with a strong sense of place, relatable characters and sometimes a little touch of the surreal.
I’m also the author of the graphic novels Momotekku and Sparrowsong, published through Koguchi Press, and have contributed to a range of small press anthologies. My work has been recognised by the AOI World Illustration Awards, Creative Boom, Broken Frontier, and I received second place in the Manga Jiman Competition in 2019.
When I’m not drawing, I’m usually exploring Tokyo, wandering through bookshops and galleries, or café hopping in search of good matcha, Japanese sweets and the perfect little spot to read or work.
