Oblique Pop-Up Shop in Ginza, Tokyo!

As 2024 drew to a close, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Tokyo, Japan, to work on a dream project for Oblique, an innovative inner wear brand. Their concept was captivating: clothing made from cutting-edge fabric infused with vitamin E to keep skin moisturised during Japan's dry winters.
Tasked with creating large-scale artwork for their pop-up shop at the iconic Ginza Tokyu Plaza, I suggested using vinyl decals to bring the space to life. My design approach merged fashion with skincare branding, drawing inspiration from face cream aesthetics to visually convey the fabric's moisturising benefits. The colour palette was carefully chosen to complement the new collection, aligning the artwork with the brand's identity.
In addition to the artwork, I collaborated with the team on visual merchandising to unify the store’s disjointed layout, which featured bold patterns on the floor and ceiling. It was exciting to introduce a youthful, vibrant energy to Oblique's otherwise minimalistic branding.
The result? A striking pop-up store open through February/March, with some designs extending beyond the shop to packaging and the brand’s website. This project was a rare blend of creative freedom and meaningful collaboration—an unforgettable experience to cap off the year!
