Sparrowsong
Sparrowsong is an original 108 page, full colour, fantasy graphic novel that I wrote and illustrated from 2024-2025, loosely inspired by the Japanese folktale Shita-kiri Suzume. Published by Koguchi Press, the story explores love, intimacy and the delicate balance between our desires through expressive, character-driven storytelling.
As an artist, I'm drawn to stories that explore memory, identity and belonging. Inspired by folklore, everyday moments and the emotional weight carried in ordinary places, I wanted to create a world that feels both familiar and dreamlike, where the artwork carries as much of the story as the words themselves.
This project brings together selected pages, finished illustrations and behind-the-scenes process from the graphic novel, offering a look at the journey from early concepts to the completed book.

"Her pacing in these pages is especially notable for adding so much to the emotional beats of the story, and the action sequences are her very best yet in portraying a sense of motion and movement."
